Overview and History of the Resort

About Sport & Do Resort Resol no Mori

Sport & Do Resort Resol no Mori is one of Japan’s major multi-purpose resort complexes operated by the Resol Holdings Group. Its extensive grounds include sports facilities, medical and training facilities, restaurants, hotels, cottages, and wellness facilities.

The resort provides an environment where visitors can combine exercise, relaxation, accommodation, and healthy living in a natural setting. Its facilities are used by a wide range of guests, from professional athletes and sports teams to families and travelers seeking a wellness-focused getaway.

History of the Resort

The resort’s development began in 1976 with the opening of Mana Country Club. During the 1980s, the resort expanded its facilities with support from the former Hokkaido Takushoku Bank.

However, the collapse of Japan’s economic bubble led to restructuring of the resort. With support from Resol Holdings, the facility was subsequently redeveloped and continues to welcome visitors with a diverse range of sports, leisure, wellness, and accommodation experiences.

Sports and Wellness Facilities

Sports Facilities

The Medical Training Center features a gymnasium, swimming pool, fitness rooms, and other professional sports facilities. The resort provides a high-quality training environment that can also accommodate athletes and sports teams.

Because of its extensive facilities and natural surroundings, the resort is used by sports teams for training camps and other athletic programs. At the same time, individual visitors can use the facilities to exercise and stay active during their stay.

Tarzania Forest Adventure

Tarzania is a forest adventure facility located within the resort. Participants wear safety harnesses and move from tree to tree using elevated courses built among the forest canopy.

The activity offers an exciting way to experience the surrounding woodland from above and is particularly popular with visitors who enjoy outdoor adventures. Limited-time collaboration events with the popular manga Attack on Titan have also been held at the facility.

Carna no Yu

Inside the Medical Training Center is Nagara Carna no Yu, a large public bath designed for relaxation and wellness. The bath uses natural mineral material associated with the Futamata Radium Hot Spring in Hokkaido to create a mineral-rich bathing experience.

After exercising or exploring the resort, visitors can relax in the bath and enjoy a peaceful break surrounded by the natural environment.

Historic Architecture: Suishutei

About Suishutei

Suishutei is one of the resort’s most distinctive historic buildings. It was constructed in 1930 as a private villa for Baron Shigeya Kondo and was later used as the Swiss Embassy until 1978.

The building was subsequently relocated to the resort grounds, where it is now used as a Japanese restaurant. Its elegant architecture and traditional atmosphere offer visitors an opportunity to experience Japanese aesthetics in a historic setting.

Suishutei is also registered as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan, adding to its cultural and architectural significance.

Opening Hours and Reservations

Suishutei operates in two dining periods. Lunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., while dinner is available from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. by reservation only.

Enjoying carefully prepared Japanese cuisine inside this historic building provides a distinctive dining experience that combines food, architecture, and history.

Restaurants and Relaxation Spaces

Restaurants

A variety of restaurants are available throughout the resort, offering different dining styles and menus.

At Hotel Trinity Shikishai, the Boulogne restaurant is particularly popular for its breakfast buffet, where guests can start the day with dishes prepared using fresh local ingredients.

Other Dining Options

Other restaurants include Sporl and THE GRILL Mana, offering options ranging from buffet-style meals to full-service garden dining.

The garden restaurant provides an open and relaxing atmosphere where guests can enjoy a meal while looking out over the surrounding gardens. Its setting makes it suitable for families, couples, and other travelers looking for a special dining experience.

Esthetic Salon Jules Ferrier

Located on the top floor of the resort’s 16-story building, Esthetic Salon Jules Ferrier offers a selection of treatments designed to promote relaxation and well-being.

The salon provides a peaceful environment where guests can take a break from their daily routines and enjoy various beauty and relaxation treatments.
